Boehner Snatches Defeat from the Jaws of Victory–Supports Obama on Syria

Not that it surprises me, but Republicans seem incapable of achieving political victory. Boehner reminds me of General McClellan, in that he is incapable of bringing the fight to the enemy with a battle plan which leads to victory. Regarding Syria, a prolonged civil war, that turns and keeps Syria’s attention inward is in the interest of the United States and its allies. Arming and supporting Al-Qaeda backed, Islamic extremists is not. Not only could have Speaker Boehner done the right thing for the U.S., he could have further undermined this Marxist President. Instead, he supports a war we have no reason to be in and he throws away another chance to damage Obama politically. Republicans—Democrat lite. If this party will not fight for victory, why should we continue to support it? Hopefully Boehner’s caucus will not be so politically...

Nov 06, 12 Election Night Coverage-Updated Regularly

For good or bad… Updates will be added to the bottom of the post (normal reading) as the night goes. So, this is the map to beat. So far, Romney has won Indiana, which McCain lost in 2008, plus he has picked up WV, GA, KY, SC, WV, all of which went Republican in 2008.  So far, Romney has clawed back one state from Obama. In Hamilton County, which is Greater Cincinnati, here are some early vote results results. In Clermont County (once again northern Cincinnati suburb) Butler County (Greater Cincinnati) Brown County (Greater Cincinnati) Early voting in Ohio going Obama, ugh… Ohio, mostly early voting. Don’t write Ohio off yet.  Hamilton County hasn’t even reported results from the precinct level as of yet, whereas the Cleveland area has… Ohio tightens up as of 9 pm. Florida leaning Romney. Looks like Romney lost.  Free shit for all it...

Ohio: Romney 49%, Obama 49%

Presidential: Rasmussen. A bit of good news, it seems Josh Mandel has pulled into a tie with Sherrod Brown, 48%-48%. My take on Ohio, since I live here is that it will go Romney and Mandel.  Why?  In 2010, Republicans ran the board statewide.  Under Gov. Kaisich, Ohio’s economy has improved and Obama’s policies toward fracking and coal, in a sane world, just can’t play well in a state that does a lot both. Plus, anecdotally, I drove across the state last week and Romney signs outnumbered Obama signs 20 to 1, plus there were numerous billboards reminding voters of Obama’s war on coal. God I hope I’m...
