Democrats Regain Congress, More People Think Country Headed in Wrong Direction

A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 21% of American voters believe the United States is heading in the right direction. That’s up a point from a month ago but down from 27% a year ago and from 43% in Election 2004.
Seventy-one percent (71%) say the nation has gotten off on the wrong track.
A separate survey shows that just 15% believe that Congress is doing a good or an excellent job. Read more....
When Republicans controlled both the executive and legislative branches, 43% of Americans thought the country was headed in the right direction. But since the Democrats have taken control of Congress, that number has dropped to 21%, and even that has dropped 6 points in the last year.
In plain words, as bad as the Republicans were, people perceive the Democrats as doing worse. What a great distinction. Maybe it has something to do with their disposition. Hating America, wishing to see it militarily defeated and embracing illegal immigrants over citizens isn't exactly a positive platform.
