Category Image The Ultimate Result of the Destruction of Morality and the Family

You know the little Ben Franklin like sayings that your mom and dad always told you?  The ones that drove you crazy?  Maybe, just maybe, they have a reason for being.  For instance, our current society sure could do with a dose of shame, a pinch of restraint, and a dollop of morality.

The following story happened yesterday in downtown Cincinnati.  Boys and girls, the moral of the story should be, get an education, don't do drugs, and have children within the institution of a loving marriage.

A 15-year-old boy who allegedly wanted his estranged girlfriend to get an abortion took matters into his own hands when he stomped and kicked her swollen belly, killing her unborn child by fracturing its skull, officials say.

Authorities issued arrest warrants on charges of aggravated murder and felonious assault for Alfonso "Lil Al" Price, who police have been searching for since Wednesday night.

The attack on 4-foot, 11-inch Kerria Anderson - who was eight months pregnant - angered officials.

"It's shocking someone so young could be so violent," Lt. Tom Lanter of the Cincinnati Police Department said. "It's an absolute tragedy that someone could be so angry at such a young age.

"Our guys will get this little guy," Lanter pledged.

Said Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters: "This is a despicable act, and it's almost unspeakable for a 15-year-old to commit such a crime."

Deters said he will push to have the youth tried as an adult.

"The fact is juvenile court is not set up to handle an offender like this - someone who stomps a baby out of an 18-year-old girl; I consider that offender unsavable," he said.

Anderson's grandmother, Betty Payne, also wants to see Alfonso tried as an adult because he could face life in prison if convicted.

Anderson planned to name her daughter Precious Anderson. Her due date was Aug. 20, Payne said.

"(It was) young puppy love, and then she gets ready to have a baby and chaos happens," Payne said.

The child would have been Anderson's second.

Anderson, who remains hospitalized, lives in the West End and was waiting for a bus when she was attacked by Alfonso and two other teens, police said.

Payne said Anderson recently told Alfonso that she was done with him. She described him as controlling and prone to fits of jealous rage.

In late June, Anderson filed a police report against Alfonso after she accused him of beating her.

That beating also landed her in the hospital.

Police say Anderson never followed up on the June beating allegation.

"I'm very shocked, but there is nothing more I can say," said a man who identified himself as Alfonso's grandfather when contacted Monday evening at the home of Alfonso's grandmother, Sandra Hicks. "If I do see him, I will tell him to go to the police and turn himself in."

Alfonso has been arrested twice for domestic violence and assault. The teen's juvenile record dates back four years. He now has at least 10 charges on his record, including murder.

Police are also looking for two other teens who took part in the deadly beating.

Police and Payne say Anderson was standing Wednesday at a bus stop on Race Street in Over-the-Rhine when Alfonso spotted her about 10 p.m.

Police said one teen grabbed Anderson's 1-year-old daughter, Jakala, from her arms and pulled her away as Alfonso grabbed his estranged girlfriend by the hair and pulled her into a building.

Anderson told police that Alfonso was trying to kill their unborn child and he and another teen kicked and stomped on her belly repeatedly.

"What she was doing messing with him, I don't know," Payne, 58, of Bond Hill, said. "He wanted her to get an abortion because they were not together. He didn't want his baby raised by another man."

Payne said Anderson stopped staying at her West End apartment recently because she was afraid of Alfonso. The two met each other in Over-the-Rhine, where Alfonso used to hang out with his mother, Payne said.

Alfonso's mother, Keisha Pitts, 34, has been arrested 42 times. She is currently jailed in the Hamilton County Jail on multiple counts including domestic violence.

Anderson frequently uses a bus stop in the area where Alfonso hangs out. She was at the bus stop Wednesday after stopping by her West End apartment to grab clothes for herself and her 1-year-old baby before returning to her mother's Westwood home.

Let's just look at all the things wrong with the lives in this story:

• A fifteen year old boy is having sex with an 18 year old girl
• An eighteen year old girl is having sex with a 15 year old boy
• An eighteen year old girl is pregnant and already has another child by another man
• The fifteen year old has 10 charges on his record
• The fifteen year olds mother is only 34
• The mother of the 15 year old boy is now in jail and has been arrested 42 times
