Hell's Rant of the Day: If You Run with the Big Dogs....

Two stories caught the eye of the Satanic Source today.

First, "Rice Defends Forced Diplomatic Assignments to Iraq". In a nutshell, some in the foreign service are perfectly happy to serve in Germany, Britain, or Austria, but they bulk at being sent to Iraq. Getting sent there most likely sucks (sucks just seems appropriate here), but it seems to US locals in Hell that that is part of the job, as you are in the foreign service. Sometimes that means you get sent to places that you don't want to go to. Some in the State Department need to talk to our soldiers about choices and responsibility and service. Maybe some notions of duty and honor might rub off.

Then, we get this headline, "Clinton Rallies Against 'All-Boy's Club' Politics". The essence of this story is that Hillary is urging women to rally behind her because all those bad nasty men were mean to her. Grow up. Get a job. Your performance sucked (sucked seems appropriate in relationship to Clinton) at the debate and you fall back on the leftist crutch of sexism.

We in Hell say to the whiners at the State Department and to Hillary Clinton, that when you play in the big leagues, sometimes you get zinged by a fastball. Yes that sucks, but then you get the base, you move on and shake it off.
