Get of load of this snippet from an Obama interview:
“For progressives, I think we should recognize the role that values and culture play in addressing some of our most urgent social problems. As I’ve said many times before, the problems of poverty and racism, the uninsured and the unemployed aren’t simply technical problems in search of a ten-point plan. They’re rooted in both societal indifference and individual callousness – in the imperfections of man. When a gang-banger shoots indiscriminately into a crowd because he feels somebody disrespected him, we’ve got a moral problem. There’s a hole in that young man’s heart – a hole that the government alone cannot fix.”
Obama believes that religious conservatives need to accept the fact that America has evolved and government policies need to encompass all faiths because the country is no longer just a Christian nation.
“I think that the right might worry a bit more about the dangers of sectarianism. Whatever we once were, we’re no longer just a Christian nation; we are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers. We should acknowledge this and realize that when we’re formulating policies from the state house to the Senate floor to the White House, we’ve got to work to translate our reasoning into values that are accessible to every one of our citizens, not just members of our own faith community.” Read more….
So the Obama is basically saying that our Judeo-Christian values need to be supplanted by something else.
Hhmmm, honor killing. Hate the infidel. Female genital mutilation. Female infanticide. Amputation of body parts for minor crimes and the utter oppression of women.
Or maybe he is talking about the state as religion, where there is no private property, speech is limited, mobility is restricted, and your life is dependent upon the government….
So, in summary, Obama, in these two paragraphs, just said that the cornerstone belief system of our society should be chucked for values that fit the moment or the crowd at hand.
Love, honor, deceny, respect for life, and love of country are eternal. Obama instead seems to favor foreign values and values that change to meet today’s needs.
Talk about getting caught with your pants down! But what is showing, the crescent moon or the hammer and sickle?

This is his inexperience showing. The U.S. country was built on the Protestant work ethic. There is a separation of church and state, and people are free to adhere to whatever faith they wish or none at all. This approach has worked well enough to make America the most successful country and economy ever. Obama would be wise not to mess with success, especially since he is so inexperienced.

I would really appreciate it if people would stop saying this is a country with separation of Church and state. It is not. Look it up. The SCOTUS declared, after 10 years of research, that this IS a Christian Nation. Since when do we make law out of some letter written from one governor to another? (Jefferson in Virginia had a different STATE CHURCH than the one in Mass.) *sigh*
Of course the Constitution states that Congress will not create a national church.
But that doesn’t deny that our moral foundation is built upon the Judea-Christian foundation of ideas, values, and beliefs.
Obama wants to change that. Islam does not share our core values.
Islam’s values are based on violence, submission, and a state/religious mechanism that limits every freedom we value.
Or, as Obama probably means, values, instead of being constant, should change to suit the situation. In other words, right and wrong aren’t black and white, but limitless shades of gray.
The older I get, the more I appreciate the moral wisdom of previous generations.
True values are timeless.
Values that conform to the needs of the present simply promote vice, sloth, and cause unneeded personal pain, nothing to say of the damage it causes to a nation, whose people are no longer vibrant and productive.

No they didn’t this is a lie put forth by D. James Kennedy. The 10 years of research part was the lie. Holy Trinity did declare America a “Christian Nation” in one of the most erroneous legal decisions they ever rendered. Even Justice Scalia in his book on jurisprudence invokes that case as text book piss poor legal reasoning.
