Undocumented Aliens, Real Crimes 4/06

How long will Americans allow our elites to continue the importation of foreigners to accomplish their political ends? The left wants to add voters and the right wants cheap labor. All the while, American citizens are subject to the side effects of illegal immigration, one of which is crime.

In Oregon, two illegals were sentenced for trafficking in heroin:

The U.S. attorney’s office for Oregon says two illegal immigrants from Mexico have been sentenced to 10 years in prison on heroin possession and trafficking charges.

Federal prosecutors describe the two as accomplices of the leader of a ring of drug dealers headquartered in Lane County.

Agents from several agencies arrested 34 suspects in March 2007 raids. Read more….

On the East Coast, another illegal was arrested for selling counterfeit government documents:

An illegal Mexican immigrant was arrested after a two-month-long investigation into the manufacturing and trafficking of fictitious government documents, Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel said Thursday.On Wednesday the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Insurance Fraud Unit concluded the lengthy investigation resulting in the arrest of 24-year-old Efren Ibanez, of Wilmington Delaware.

According to Prosecutor Housel, Ibanez sold five Social Security cards, five permanent resident alien cards and also three Mexican drivers licenses. Ibanez also sold a temporary Pennsylvania license and registration to the Office. He also sold a fictitious insurance card. Read more….

Finally, in the southwest, an illegal alien was arrested for murdering a neighbor:

An argument about a wandering dog led to one man stabbing another near a Mercedes home known as the “Castle House,” Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Treviño said Wednesday.

Miguel Lopez, 23, was arraigned Wednesday on a charge of first-degree felony murder and ordered jailed in lieu of a $1 million bond.

Federal authorities also have placed a hold on the Reynosa man because he is an illegal immigrant.

If Lopez posts bond he will be released to U.S. Border Patrol and held until trial, Treviño said. Lopez faces between five years and life in prison if convicted.

Lopez stabbed Roy N. Hernandez, 51, last week, after the victim’s unleashed dog wandered onto the lawn of Lopez’s girlfriend, the sheriff said. Deputies arrested Lopez on Tuesday, and he confessed to stabbing Hernandez. Read more….
