Of course you knew, We in Hell would chime in on Obama and his virulently anti-American and anti-white pastor. We ask that you just keep in mind, that Barack Obama has been a member of the congregation for 2o years and that on his own campaign site says that he and his family attend services as often as possible (see this link).
Just keep in mind, that We in Hell know a lie when We see one.
Today, at 4:30 p.m., Obama posted an article on the Huffington Post, which in essence said he completely disagreed with the Rev. Wright. But as We read his screed, We began to see some whoppers. (The following quotes are taken from this article).
Obama writes:
Because these particular statements by Rev. Wright are so contrary to my own life and beliefs, a number of people have legitimately raised questions about the nature of my relationship with Rev. Wright and my membership in the church. Let me therefore provide some context.
Really, Rev. Wright’s anti-white people and anti-American statements are “contrary” to your beliefs? That’s not what you said in your biography, as the National Review points out:
“It is this world, a world where cruise ships throw away more food in a day than most residents of Port-au-Prince see in a year, where white folks’ greed runs a world in need, apartheid in one hemisphere, apathy in another hemisphere…That’s the world! On which hope sits!”
And so it went, a meditation on a fallen world. While the boys next to me doodled on their church bulletin, Reverend Wright spoke of Sharpsville and Hiroshima, the callousness of policy makers in the White House and in the State House.
Obama continues:
And the sermons I heard him preach always related to our obligation to love God and one another, to work on behalf of the poor, and to seek justice at every turn…. The statements that Rev. Wright made that are the cause of this controversy were not statements I personally heard him preach while I sat in the pews of Trinity or heard him utter in private conversation.
There is no way in Hell, that you can tell us in Hell, that this man, preaching a Gospel of hate (click here for an example) would hide his anti-Americanism, his anti-white, and his anti-Israeli sentiments only when Barack Obama attended services? And there is no way in Hell a man like Wright, could contain his biases against white America in any personal conversation with you. YOU’VE GOT TO THINK US FOOLS if you expect us to believe this.
Obama, on his own website, says the following:
Obama Was Baptized And Attends Church Once a Week When He is Able. In the Audacity of Hope, Obama wrote, “I was finally able to walk down the aisle of Trinity United Church of Christ one day and be baptized.” In 2004, he “attend[ed] the 11 a.m. Sunday service at Trinity in the Brainerd neighborhood every week — or at least as many weeks as he is able. His pastor, Wright, has become a close confidant.”
He admits that he attends services on a regular basis. And Mr. Obama is telling us that he never ONCE heard the Rev. Wright, who he describes as a “close confidant”, express his anti-American, anti-white, or anti-Jewish sentiments in private or public? That just simply strains any concept of credibility.
Finally, Obama says:
Let me repeat what I’ve said earlier. All of the statements that have been the subject of controversy are ones that I vehemently condemn. They in no way reflect my attitudes and directly contradict my profound love for this country.
And once again, we refer you Obama’s autobiography, some of which we will quote again:
“The painting depicts a harpist,” Reverend Wright explained, “a woman who at first glance appears to be sitting atop a great mountain. Until you take a closer look and see that the woman is bruised and bloodied, dressed in tattered rags, the harp reduced to a single frayed string. Your eye is then drawn down to the scene below, down to the valley below, where everywhere are the ravages of famine, the drumbeat of war, a world groaning under strife and deprivation.
(link)
We in Hell, think it is painfully obvious the Senator from Illinois was not only well aware of the anti-American and anti-white feelings of Reverend Wright, but that he was so comfortable with them and that they are so close to his own ideology, that he remained a member of The Trinity Unity Church for 20 years and that he intends to remain a member:
With Rev. Wright’s retirement and the ascension of my new pastor, Rev. Otis Moss, III, Michelle and I look forward to continuing a relationship with a church that has done so much good.
The Reverend Wright simply reinforced Barack Obama’s world view–that’s why he sat in the same pew for 20 years.
