Where’s the recovery?  Wasn’t the Stimulus, all $780 billion of it, supposed to bring us prosperity?  That’s what the Obama administration and its compliant press told us it would do:

In the face of an economic crisis, the magnitude of which we have not seen since the Great Depression, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act represents a strategic — and significant — investment in our country’s future.

The Act will save and create three to four million jobs, 90 percent of them in the private sector. It will provide more than $150 billion to low-income and vulnerable households — spurring increased economic activity that will save and create more than one million jobs.  Link

Unemployment stands at 9.4% and it is much worse in a great swath of the nation:

GDP declined by over 5% in the first quarter of this year.  Shouldn’t the stimulus have produced a positive GDP?:

Picture 2

Ahh, but the defenders of the Stimulus point out that it is creating Federal jobs, which help to mitigate the effects of unemployment.  As of this very second, you can choose between a whopping 62, that right, 62 Federal jobs are available nationwide:

Picture 4But then again, assuming that Federal spending could (it can’t) pull an economy out of a recession, it would require a competent administration, Congress, and bureaucracy to spend the monies efficiently.  That isn’t happening:

Picture 5

$175 billion out of the $780 billion has been allocated and only $60 billion has been spent.

Where’s the recovery?  It is trapped underneath liberal economic assumptions, leftist lies, and gross incompetence.  This is your government at its best. Just imagine what it can do with Cap and Trade and Health Insurance!
