Today’s Doonesbury exemplifies the simplified, emotional, illogical, childlike belief system and thought process of the left.
Unending war? Where does one start? Does the left think anything good would happen if we ran from Iraq? Even if one called Iraq a mistake, a grown up, logical, responsible person would understand the concept of responsibility and the U.S. has to see this through. Sort of like fathering a child and being there…. Okay, now I get it….
Afghanistan? Maybe the left can’t remember that the Taliban backed, supplied, and supported al-Qaeda. Afghanistan is a legitmate war. Sometimes love of country requires long term sacrifices. Of course, that is something the left doesn’t comprehend at all.
Guantanamo? President Bill Clinton fought the war against Islamic terror as if it were crime wave. The result? The Cole, the African embassy bombings, the Khobar Towers attack, and finally 9/11. This is a war. Guantanamo was picked to house prisoners because our court system is no place to fight a war. Only a child-like intellect would argue otherwise.
Torture. I’m all for it. But for the simpletons on the left, terrorists are not uniformed soldiers and they are treated more harshly therefore. For some reason, I can’t get choked up about the harsh treatment of people who want to harm my country.
Abu Ghraib. Another word like Guantanamo that the left throws around. I don’t get it. The Pentagon discovered the ill treatment of prisoners. The Pentagon prosecuted those responsible. The process was already in motion even before the details of Abu Ghraib were leaked to the press. Abu Ghraib was a testimony to the honesty and decency of the Army in the long run.
Kangaroo courts. This is just plain ignorant. A kangaroo court simply hands down a predetermined verdict of guilt. So how would Doonesbury and the unthinking left explain the sentence handed down to Bin Landen’s driver? Think, then talk. Or in this case, think then draw.
Waterboarding? All for it once again. Seeing that it is used against terrorists–those who do not wear a uniform, who want to kill Americans, I can’t find fault with it. It isn’t torture. Torture is what happened to John McCain. Broken bones. Broken teeth. Permanent disfigurement.
When you dumb down a term, like torture, you make the word itself meaningless. Sort of like racism…..
Black sites. They exist because of the effeminate left that lacks the will to protect our country. Sometimes grown ups have to do things that children don’t like…like pay the bills, go to work, and even protect our nation.
Rendition. Again, this only exists because the left has lost the will to protect this country and rights of jurisprudence are handed out to people want to kill us. If the left loved their country, there would be no need for rendition.
Hallliburton? I don’t get the left’s obsession with a company. It is a company, get over it. Then again, I guess it is just like saying “Big Oil.” Ohhhhhh. The boogeyman—Big Oil and Halliburton! Scary!
No-bid contracts? You know, sometimes, during war, things need to be expedited. Once again, one of those things that require you to be an adult to understand.
Recess appointments? John Bolton. Simply brilliant and the right person to send the U.N. Plus, believe it or not, it is a legal power for the president to wield. OMG, the looney left criticizes Bush for acting lawfully. ROFL!
Warrantless wiretapping. For the little kids out there. No warrants are needed when A): Terrorist from outside the U.S. calls into America, or B): American citizen calls places like Afghanistan and Pakistan on a regular basis. Additionally, evidence gathered on such calls are not admissible in court against an American citizen, but the information gathered can be used, say to launch a strike against a terrorist group. It boils down to either you want to protect your country or you don’t.
Fired U.S. Attorneys. Oh come now, like a Democratic President hasn’t applied a litmus test to the hiring of U.S. Attorneys. Plus, once again, U.S. Attorneys serve at the pleasure of the President. So the left criticizes Bush for acting legally, again.
Plamegate. I’m not even going to bother on this one. The lameness factor bores me.
Katrina. The result of 60 years of Democratic rule exposed. 200,000 people sat on their asses as the waters rose. Then those same people cried that the ‘govmunt’ wasn’t doing anything to help them…as their Democratic mayor and Democratic governor did absolutely nothing to help them. Instead, they blamed Bush. Hey it beats actually doing your job.
Funny how Midwesterners simply dealt with a much larger flood this summer without the whining.
Doubling national debt. Not a lot of argument here, except could you at least mention that the Democrats have controlled Congress for the last two years?
Global warming? Please? Another child-like fit of hysteria. How does Al Gore explain the fact that the earth’s temperature hasn’t risen in ten years?

has been eliminated.

cause past their own lard-assed egos. I SPIT on them. Don’t
kid yourself I’m some caricature leftist. I’m a 47 year old
cop and father and I think the bible is dreck and that 99% of
politicians could be marched into wood chippers and leave the
world no poorer.
We need to rise up. It’s time.
WAKE UP AMERICA, it’s time to remember your RAGE at these
filthy, me-me, lying PIGS. Time to make them PAY.
